There is a possibility of rain at many places in the Northern, North Central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Matale district. Similarly, the Department of Meteorology has announced that there will be light rain in the North Western province.
It has been reported that there is a possibility of thundershowers in the Sabaragamuwa, Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts in the evening or night.
Furthermore, fog is expected to occur at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces and in the Kurunegala district in the morning.
During the thundershowers, temporary strong winds may also blow in those areas. The Department of Meteorology has requested the public to take necessary precautions to prevent serious damage caused by lightning.
