The Department of Meteorology states that showers or thundershowers are likely to occur in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces and in the Kalutara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts this evening or night (05).
The Department states that mainly rainless weather is likely to prevail in the rest of the country.
Foggy conditions will prevail in some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces in the morning.
The Department of Meteorology has requested the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risks posed by temporary strong winds and lightning strikes accompanied by thundershowers.
