Jaffna University students – Thiruvembavai Parayanam
Today (04), the Thiruvembavai Parayanam was performed by the students of Jaffna University for the 5th year. Starting from the Parameswara Temple, it passed through the Kalatchandi, the Balasingham Hostel of Jaffna University, and reached the Jaffna University through the Thaparpettich Junction and then back to the Parameswara Chandi.
The Jaffna University Hindu Council Grand Treasurer and Senior Lecturer Mr. C. Ramanaraja, the Faculty of Arts Student Union Grand Treasurer and Senior Lecturer Mr. S. Kabilan and various students participated in this parayanam.
Thiruvembavai Viratham and Margazhi Festival
The Thiruvembavai Parayanam was held every day and the final day was the Jaffna University. The procession will depart from the Parameswara Munral of the University and will return to the Jaffna University through the Faculty of Medicine, Tirunelveli Junction and Parameswara Junction.
Furthermore, the Margazhi festival, which was started in 2022, will be held in a grand manner this year as well, in honor of the Thiruvembavai Vratham.
