Emergency warning for fishermen
The Department of Meteorology has issued an emergency warning for the sea areas along the coast from Colombo to Kankesanthurai via Puttalam and Mannar.
Accordingly, it has been reported that the wind speed in the said areas may increase to 50-60 kilometers per hour.
Furthermore, the sea areas will be turbulent from time to time, and due to this, the Department of Meteorology has advised fishermen and the navy to be vigilant.
