Today (06.12.2024) Second Day of Interim Budget Debate – Live

Before the Budget for 2025 is presented, votes will be held today on the Vote of Account to carry out government expenditure and the Under-Estimate Allocation to carry out essential expenditure for the final period of this year.

It is expected that an additional fund of Rs. 1,402 billion will be allocated under the Vote of Account. An additional fund of Rs. 215 billion will be passed under the Under-Estimate Allocation.

Funds for 4 months of government services and expenses from January 1 to April 30 of next year will be allocated through this Vote of Account.

These allocations include Rs. 220,006 billion for the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, Rs. 186,031 million for the Ministry of Financial Planning and Economic Development, Rs. 170,535 million for the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Rs. 161,999.9 million for the Ministry of Health and Media, and Rs. 142,925 million for the Ministry of Defense.

Furthermore, the allocation for the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation has been announced as Rs. 67,361 million.
