Sri Lankan woman dies on Paris-bound flight
A Sri Lankan woman who suddenly fell ill on a flight from Doha to Paris, France, has died.
An 81-year-old Sri Lankan woman who was staying in France has died.
Further information about the incident says that the woman who was travelling on a Qatar Airways flight suddenly fell ill.
Following this, the plane made an emergency landing at Erbil International Airport in Iraq.
As per previous reports, medical teams have also been called to the airport. However, foreign media reports indicate that she has already died.
The Sri Lankan Consulate in Erbil has arranged to inform her son, a French citizen, in this regard.
It is also noteworthy that necessary arrangements are being made to transport the body to France.
