Kazakhstan plane crash that killed more than 30 people: Russia embroiled in controversy!

New information pointing to a passenger plane crash in Kazakhstan has caused great controversy over Russia. International media have reported that there are signs of a missile attack on the tail of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane.

On the 25th, an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 plane traveling from Baku to Krosny, Russia, turned around in 3 places due to dense fog and finally crashed near Aktau Airport, Kazakhstan. There were 62 passengers and 5 flight crew on board. Of these, 38 died and 28 survived.

While the investigation into the plane crash is ongoing, suspicions have been raised that Russia’s missile defense system or a missile attack may have been responsible for the accident. It is also said that the plane was hit in the context of drone attacks between Ukraine and Russia.

Survivors reported hearing a loud explosion after the plane’s landing request was rejected at the airport in Grozny. Azerbaijani and US officials believe the crash was caused by a missile attack from Russian territory.

Azerbaijani officials have said the plane was shot down by a Russian Pantsir-S air defense system, according to the New York Times, Euronews and Anadolu.

Russia has warned that it would be wrong to speculate until the investigation is complete. The Russian government has said it will take a wait-and-see approach.

Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev has warned against blaming anyone at this early stage of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the full details of the crash are expected to emerge only after the audio recording from the black box is examined.
