Government appointments are essential; Unemployed graduates protest in Jaffna!
An attention-grabbing protest is being held in Jaffna today (20) under the auspices of the Northern Province Unemployed Graduates Union.
This protest is being held demanding that government appointments be given to unemployed graduates.
Various unemployed graduates from the Northern Province are participating in the protest.
The attention-grabbing protest began this morning near the World Tamil National Conference Massacre Memorial in front of the Jaffna Weerasingham Hall. Later, the protesters marched towards the Northern Province Governor’s Secretariat in a procession via the Jaffna Central Bus Stand.
They raised various slogans and engaged in the protest there.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the security of several police officers has not been relaxed at the Northern Province Governor’s Secretariat premises.
