Gazette Notification Extends Retirement Age for Doctors
An extraordinary gazette notification issued on Friday, December 20, 2024, announces the extension of the compulsory retirement age for Government Medical Officers to 63 years.
The extension applies to various medical professionals, including Medical Specialists, Grade Medical Officers, Dental Officers, Medical Administrative Grade Officers, Dental Specialists, and registered Medical Practitioners.
As per the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, the revised retirement age has been in effect since January 1, 2023.
