Former cricketers Kumar Sangakkara and Lasith Malinga are reportedly sharing their insights with Sri Lankan head coach Sanath Jayasuriya to bring Sri Lankan cricket back to its best. This news has been reported by an Indian media outlet.
It has been two months since Sanath Jayasuriya took over as the full-time head coach of the Sri Lankan men’s cricket team. At the end of that, the team has seen tremendous progress under his guidance.
Under Jayasuriya’s leadership, Sri Lanka has seen significant progress with many victories, including a Test victory against New Zealand, a series victory in ODIs and T20Is against the West Indies, a win in the ODI series against India, a Test victory against England, and a 1-1 draw in the T20Is against New Zealand.
The Indian media outlet also mentioned that the help of Sangakkara and Malinga was important behind these victories. Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan team is currently traveling to New Zealand for a One Day International series.
