Sterilization of monkeys – Anura government’s new project
Information has been released that a new project to sterilize monkeys will be implemented with the aim of controlling the reproduction of monkeys.
Deputy Minister of Buddhist and Cultural Affairs Gamagedara Dissanayake said that this project will be launched in the Matale district. He shared this at the Matale District Coordination Committee meeting.
The Deputy Minister said that a fund of 4.5 million rupees has been allocated for this pilot project by the Ministry of Agriculture. The assistance of veterinarians will be obtained when sterilizing monkeys.
Deputy Minister Gamagedara Dissanayake said that this project will be implemented throughout the country in the future.
