Key discussion today with health unions, finance ministry

A discussion will be held today (06) between the health union representatives who were involved in the boycott recently and the finance ministry.

Ravi Kumudesh, coordinator of the health unions, said that if no positive solution to their problems is found in the discussion to be held in the afternoon, they will resume strike action from tomorrow.

Representatives of 72 health unions started an emergency strike on 01st to demand payment of 35,000 rupees to doctors. Due to this, the operations of many hospitals across the country have been halted and the patients have faced severe difficulties.

However, after negotiating with the Ministry of Finance for their demands, they have announced that the strike will end at 6.30 am on the 3rd.

Accordingly, it is reported that this discussion will take place this afternoon.
