Traders say that tamarind has decreased in the market. Currently, they are forced to sell one kilogram of tamarind at a retail price of Rs. 2,000.
The price has increased due to a shortage of tamarind in the local market. It is reported that tamarind, which was sold for Rs. 350 to 400, is now being sold for Rs. 2,000.
Traders say that there is no harvest from tamarind trees during this period and this shortage will persist until the tamarind harvest is completed at the end of March.
