Hormuz Strait Disrupted Again as Trump Blockade Warning Sparks Panic

Shipping activity through the Strait of Hormuz has come to a complete halt, according to maritime intelligence firm Lloyd’s List.

The disruption followed within minutes of U.S. President Donald Trump’s warning of a major naval blockade against Iran, prompting vessels heading toward the strait to stop immediately.

Reports indicate that several ships have even turned back mid-sea, abandoning their routes amid rising tensions.

Earlier, a temporary ceasefire linked to the Islamabad talks had encouraged some companies to move their vessels through the region.

However, Trump’s “final warning” and blockade announcement have shattered that confidence, forcing ships to retreat.

At least two large vessels that were en route to exit the area have now reportedly reversed course.
