Government bus and army vehicle collide head-on – 6 injured!
Six people were injured in a head-on accident between a government bus and an army vehicle.
The said incident took place on A9 road at around 4.30 pm yesterday. The accident took place in Kokavil area under Mankulam Police Division of Mullaitivu District.
A government bus traveling from Tunukai towards Karainagar collided head-on with an army vehicle traveling opposite.
4 soldiers were injured when the military vehicle overturned and a woman passenger in the bus was also admitted to the Kilinochchi hospital.
The driver of the said bus also surrendered at the Mankulam police station with injuries and the said driver has been admitted to the Mankulam hospital by the police, police said.
Mankulam police are investigating the accident.
