Canadian Tamil woman dies of cancer in Jaffna
A young Tamil woman who came to Jaffna from Canada has died of cancer, causing great sadness in the area. The woman, identified as 22-year-old Chattiswaran Sayanaka, who lived in Scarborough, Canada, has met this tragic end.
Sayanaka had come to her native place, Vadamaratchi – Kalluvam in Jaffna, for a holiday. However, it has been revealed that she was suffering from cancer while she was in Canada. Upon her arrival in Jaffna, she was undergoing treatment at the Thellippala Cancer Treatment Center. However, the treatment did not work and she died on the 5th.

The sudden death of Sayanaka has plunged the Vadamaratchi Kalluvam area into mourning. The fact that she had been living in Canada for a long time and had come to her hometown when she died has caused great sadness. His funeral will be held today at his home in Kalluvam.
