3-year-old girl trapped in borewell in Rajasthan
The rescue operation of a three-year-old girl who fell into a 700-feet deep well in Rajasthan’s Kotputli area continued on Wednesday (25) morning.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been trying to rescue the girl, Sethna, for more than 48 hours.
Initially, they tried to rescue the girl using 15 iron rods of 10 feet in length. However, this attempt was unsuccessful.
Subsequently, the rescue workers decided to dig a hole in the well using rat mining technology on Tuesday (24) using machines at the site.
In this situation, an oxygen pipe has been lowered into the borewell to provide oxygen to the girl. Four ambulances have also been stationed at the scene.
The girl, a resident of Bhatiaali village, fell into a borewell near the area while playing at around 2 pm on Monday (23). Initially, she was reportedly trapped at a depth of 150 feet.
Using makeshift equipment, rescue teams were reportedly able to pull the girl out only 30 feet.
