Will Britain Rejoin the European Union?
The new Labour government led by Sir Keir Starmer has reportedly said it wants to rejoin the European Union.
However, after the Brexit vote, there has been opposition in Britain to rejoin the European Union.
The process of Britain leaving the European Union is known as “Brexit“. This is an abbreviation for British – exit.
In this context, Prime Minister Starmer, commenting on rejoining the European Union, said, “Britain is not rejoining the European Union. But we want to make a good deal with the European Union that benefits Britain and provides better services to its people.”
To this end, the European Union is insisting that citizens of EU member states under the age of 30 should be allowed to work and travel freely in the UK, and that Britons should be allowed to travel freely to EU countries.
As a result, Brexit supporters and many others are expressing their displeasure at the fact that Britain is once again subject to EU rules and the rulings of the European Court of Justice.
