Wellawatte raid – Persons caught
Colombo – Three suspects have been arrested in a raid in the Wellawatte area with cocaine and kush drugs.
The arrest operation was carried out last Saturday at the Collingwood Mawatte Division of the Wellawatte Police. The raid was carried out by officers from the Anti-Corruption Unit.
During the raid, a 26-year-old resident of Dehiwala was arrested. 36 grams of cocaine and 203 grams of kush drugs, along with 5 mobile phones and cash, were seized from him.
Furthermore, based on information received from the person, two other suspects were arrested in the Collingwood Mawatte area with 3 grams and 600 milligrams of kush drugs. They are 24 and 25 years old, and are from Mattakkuliya and Colombo 14 areas.
The three arrested have been interrogated at the Wellawatte Police Station.
