UK bans German food imports
Following the spread of Foot-and-Mouth Disease in Germany, Britain has banned the import of German food products. This means that food products, including pork and dairy products, cannot be imported into the UK.

The British government has said that it has taken steps to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease and has banned the import of these food products from Germany.
It has also been said that this will protect the livelihoods of German farmers. The foot-and-mouth disease outbreak caused great damage in Britain in 2001.
