The Department of Meteorology has announced that it will rain several times today (05) in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mattalai districts.
Anuradhapuram and Hambantota districts may experience some rain, the advisory said.
Rain or thundershowers are expected in Upper, Sabaragamuwa and North-West provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 pm.
Foggy conditions are expected at some places in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts in the morning.
The Department of Meteorology has advised people to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of thunderstorms accompanied by temporary strong winds and lightning strikes.
