The main suspect who attempted to attack a witness in a case being heard in Jaffna court with a sword has been arrested today.
The incident took place on May 30, 2024, and two of the three were already arrested at that time. They were accused of attempting to attack the witness.
In this situation, the suspect was arrested in the Ariyakulam area of Jaffna.
The arrest was made based on a complaint investigation conducted by the police under the supervision of the Jaffna District Senior Superintendent of Police.
The police say that there are three open warrants for the arrest of the arrested suspect related to the sword attack. Criminal investigations are currently ongoing.
