Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Asset Declaration Deadline Expires Tomorrow
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has issued a final ultimatum to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, with the deadline for submitting his declaration of assets and liabilities set to expire tomorrow, Friday, April 10, 2026.
The Commission noted that while these details were initially requested as far back as 2015, the submission remains incomplete over a decade later. This 14-day grace period, granted last month, is being treated as the absolute final extension.
