Jagat Priyankara took oath as a member of Parliament in the presence of the Speaker today (08).
Jagat Priyankara took oath to fill the seat vacated by State Minister Sanath Nishanth, a Member of Parliament from Puttalam district who died in an accident.
Meanwhile, the adjournment debate on the government’s policy statement presented by President Ranil Wickramasinghe in Parliament is taking place today (08).
The discussion will be held today from 09.30 am to 05.30 pm.
This debate will continue tomorrow.
It is reported that the proposals under the Essential Public Service Act will be passed without discussion.
