Jaffna Kodikamam Thattangulam Pilliyar Road Northern Province Governor Action
Honorable Governor of Northern Province B.S.M. to reconstruct Jaffna Kodikamam Thattangulam Pilliyar Road which has not been reconstructed for about 18 years. Charles has taken action. According to the request received from the villagers, the Honorable Governor instructed the Local Council Commissioner regarding the reconstruction of about 2.34 km of road.
For that, the Cavakacherry Pradeshiya Sabha has carried out road reconstruction works. It has been estimated that a fund of 42 million rupees is required for the complete reconstruction of Jaffna Kodikamam Tattangulam Pilliyar Road. Of this, ten million rupees has been allocated by Cavakacheri Pradeshiya Sabha. In this case, the matter has been reported to the Road Development Authority and it has been announced that the entire road will be reconstructed if funds are available for them. Northern Province Local Government Commissioner Mr. S. said that if complete funds are not available, the said road will be partially reconstructed from the funds allocated by Savagacheri Pradeshiya Sabha. Pranavanathan said.
Jaffna Kodikamam Tattangulam Pilliyar Road is the road between J-320 and J-321 Village Service Divisions and both these areas use the road. Hundreds of students also use this road. Villagers fear that the hilly and potholed road will be covered by floods during monsoons. It is noteworthy that the villagers of Kodikamam, Meesalai North Rama have requested the Honorable Governor of Northern Province to reconstruct the said road.
