International attention on Iran’s hidden underground ‘missile cities’

Although many of Iran’s missile sites have been damaged, some of them are capable of being reactivated, The Wall Street Journal reported.

According to US intelligence estimates, Iran still has the ability to repair and reactivate many of the missile sites trapped under the rubble.

Although Iran currently has half the number of missiles left in its arsenal compared to before the war, it still has thousands of medium- and short-range ballistic missiles that can be retrieved from its underground ‘missile cities’, and US and Israeli officials have warned that these can be launched at any time from Iran’s underground ‘missile cities’. This military strength of Iran still poses a major challenge to the security of the Middle East.

Some US officials have expressed concern that Iran will take advantage of the temporary ceasefire currently underway in Islamabad to rebuild its missile stockpile.
