Gold prices increase further!
The price of gold in Sri Lanka has increased further today (03) compared to yesterday (02).
According to the price situation in Colombo Chettiar Street, the price of a pound of 24 karat gold is 212,000 rupees today.
Similarly, the price of a pound of 22 karat gold was 196,000 rupees, said R. Balasubramaniam, General Secretary of the All Ceylon Jewellers Association.
Last Tuesday, the price of a pound of 24 karat gold was 210,500 rupees and the price of a pound of 22 karat gold was 193,900 rupees.
In the international market, the price of an ounce of gold is 2,659.64 US dollars.
