Anura’s New Cabinet to Be Sworn In Today!

The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet of Sri Lanka‘s government will take place today (18.11.2024).

The event will be held at the Presidential Secretariat at 10 am in the presence of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The Presidential Media Division stated that all ministers and deputy ministers will be sworn in.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the President plans to assume the responsibilities of the ministries of defense and finance.

Government sources indicate that Harini Amarasuriya will be reappointed as the Prime Minister of the new government. Minister Vijitha Herath will be reappointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

It has also been stated that 23 new ministers will be appointed, and 25 deputy ministers will be appointed for those ministries.
