There is no question of a ceasefire! – Netanyahu rejects Trump’s announcement!
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new statement on the current situation in Lebanon has caused a great stir internationally.
While US President Donald Trump had previously stated that Israel would reduce its attacks on Lebanon, Netanyahu has categorically stated that “there is no question of a ceasefire.”
In a special message to the people living in the northern part of Israel, Netanyahu has assured that attacks on Hezbollah will continue until security is fully ensured.
He reiterated that Israel will continue to attack Hezbollah with full force and that Israel’s ultimate goal is to completely disarm the organization.
Netanyahu has said that the attacks are aimed at establishing a historic and lasting peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
However, Netanyahu’s aggressive stance, amid Trump’s mediation efforts, has raised fears among countries around the world that it could cause a rift in US-Israeli diplomatic relations.
