Information on the impact of rat fever in Jaffna Point Pedro
Doctors have announced that the number of patients suspected of rat fever has decreased at the Point Pedro Hospital in Jaffna.
They are confident that the situation will improve further in 1-2 days and there will be a decrease in the number of patients admitted.
According to the doctors, “People should follow the preventive measures currently being taken. They should seek treatment at the hospital immediately when they notice symptoms of fever. This will prevent the disease from becoming more severe and deaths from occurring.”
So far, 66 people have been treated at the Point Pedro Hospital with rat fever symptoms. As of now, 32 patients are receiving treatment, one of whom was sent to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital yesterday for further treatment.
