Electricity tariff revision: The public has a final chance
The Public Utilities Commission has announced that public opinion polls regarding the revision of electricity tariffs will begin at the provincial level from today.
Accordingly, these activities will take place today at the Kandy District Secretariat in the Central Province.
Furthermore, public opinion polls will be held for the Uva Province on the 30th and for the Sabaragamuwa Province on January 3.
Public opinions regarding the revision of electricity tariffs for the Western Province will be held on January 10 at the Bandaranaike Conference Hall.
It is noteworthy that the Public Utilities Commission has announced that it will respond to the Electricity Board’s proposal that electricity tariffs cannot be reduced and that the final decision regarding electricity tariffs will be announced on January 17.
