Market sources report that the price of eggs, which had been falling in the market for the past few days, has now increased again.
The price of eggs, which was 28 rupees, has now increased to 36 rupees.
Last year, egg prices fell very rapidly in some areas. In particular, in areas including Ja-Ela, Kandhamal and Ragama, eggs that were previously sold for 40 to 45 rupees are now being sold for 25 to 30 rupees, and that price has now increased again.
