A person involved in illegal fishing was arrested in Vadamarachi East Kataikatu!
Two fishermen were arrested by the navy this afternoon who were engaged in the illegal business of light fishing in the sea.
A 23-year-old man from the same area was arrested along with the belongings of the Vetilaikeni marines who were patrolling the sea.
According to reports, the suspect along with the seized items have been handed over to the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources office in Jaffna for further legal action.
