Price change of six essential food items

The earlier published maximum wholesale and retail price limits for six essential food items have been revised.

The Consumer Affairs Authority has announced that this step has been taken to guide consumers to purchase products from traders in a reduced manner.

The maximum wholesale and retail price limits of dry chillies, white sugar, imported onions, imported potatoes and Mysore pulses have been revised.

According to this, one kg of dry chilli will be sold at 870 rupees, one kg of white sugar at 265 rupees, one kg of imported mung beans at 900 rupees and one kg of big onion at 320 rupees.

Also, the Consumer Affairs Authority has taken steps to publish the price of one kg of potatoes at Rs 120 and the total price of one kg of pulses at Rs 295.
