50 people from 15 families affected in Jaffna due to heavy rain!
Jaffna District Disaster Management Division Deputy Director R.N. Suriyaraja has stated that 50 people from 15 families have been affected in Jaffna due to the continuous rains.
Two people from a family in J/315 Grama Sevak Division under Chavakachcheri Divisional Secretariat have been affected. Two people from a family in J/328 Grama Sevak Division have also been affected. Two houses have been damaged.
In addition, eight people from two families in J/56 Grama Sevak Division under Kayts Divisional Secretariat have been affected. One house has been partially damaged.
Six people from three families in Point pedro Divisional Secretariat have been affected and two houses have been damaged. He further said that 29 people from 7 families were affected in J/403 Grama Sevak Division. Additionally, 6 houses were damaged.
He also said that three people from a family were affected in J/91 Grama Sevak Division under Nallur Divisional Secretariat. One house was partially damaged.
